Flipper Ball

On Tuesday 17th February, Nathan came and taught us how to play flipper ball. You use a shallow pool unlike water polo. We wore head gear to protect our ears from being damaged. We played a game and the goalies wore a red cap. It was really fun and we hope to do it again. Dylan T and Matt

Painting Portraits

Room 1 has been inspired by Rita Angus and other famous artists to paint their own self portraits. First we sketched an outline with pencil, then we put paint on. We hope to put some of these on the blog we they are finished.

Signing Our Class Treaty

We wrote class rules and then all signed them to show that we had agreed on them. We used the school flag to cover the table. because we had been finding out about the Treaty of Waitangi and they had used a flag.

This is our fantastic class of 21 Year 6 children and 5 Year 5 children. Our school is on the beautiful Otago Peninsula. Our teachers are Mrs Newlands and Mrs Hawker, and this year we have a trainee teacher Miss Brice-Nicholson.
Keep checking our blog and find out about the fantastic things we do in our class.
